WILMA FLODINE (BURRUSS) WALTERS Obituary (1924

Wilma (Billie) Walters, 90, died on Saturday, July 4, 2015 at her home in Eureka. Wilma Flodine Walters was born to Theo & Ollie (Hanson) Burruss on December 14, 1924 in Cashion, Oklahoma. She was the oldest of seven brothers and sisters. Billie and her family left the Oklahoma/Arkansas area when she was quite young and moved to Santa Cruz, California where she grew up. Billie had four children and three foster/adopted children. As she grew older, she became known to most of her friends and family as Aunt Billie or Aunt B. Aunt Billie had lived in different countries as well as many different states, including England, Japan, Florida and Hawaii. She moved to Eureka about nine years ago. She loved animals and had a pet parakeet she liked to talk to. She enjoyed old black and white movies, painting her fingernails bright colors, fishing, crafting and being around friends and family. She also enjoyed singing Karaoke. The one thing she loved to do every morning even before coffee and breakfast was to read about her God Jehovah and the soon to come paradise earth. Survivors include her brothers: Kenny Burruss (Yolanda), Sparks, Nevada; and Russell Stephens (Mary), Aiken, South Carolina; 4 children: Kerry Buckman (Carol), Ukiah, California; Donna Kaiser (Henry), Ocala, Florida; Carla Hill and Angela Walters; many nieces and nephews including Susan (Sue) Avery (Jim) and Pikie (Bumper) Ragland (Jim), both of Sandpoint, Idaho; Jon Stuart (Lisa) Eureka, Montana; Anthony (Tony) Burruss (Leeann), Spirit Lake, Idaho; as well as many many other nieces, nephews, and grandchildren. Services will be held Saturday, July 18, 2015 at 2:00pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Eureka. Arrangements are by Schnackenberg & Nelson Funeral Home in Eureka.
