THAIS H (BRANCH) STREETER Obituary (1926

Thais Branch Streeter went home on Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at the age of 92 after a very full and wonderful life. She was born in Waterbury, Connecticut, March 14th, 1926 to Howard and Helen (Wheeler) Branch. She was the youngest of three children, having an older brother Howard and older sister Thelma. On June 26th 1948 she married the love of her life, Bill Streeter and began a life full of outdoor adventures including fishing, hunting, camping and travel. They had two children, Jeff and Christine (Quilling). In 1978 Dad and her made a huge decision and followed their kids west. They settled in the Eureka area, Barnaby Lake, in a home made by the Amish for them. They loved Montana and its people, living a full wonderful life here, they never looked back. She was involved in Aglow for years and founded the 'March for Jesus' here in Eureka. She was a quilter and she would have you know she was a 'Scrappy' quilter, not a piece of material was ever wasted! She was also famous for her pies which sold for great amounts of money at all the benefits she donated too! She would also tell you she kayaked till she was 80 and shot her last buck in her late 70's. But most important she would have you know she loved Jesus! She has six grandchildren, Abe, Ben, Jody, John, Rob and Sam and ten great-grandchildren of whom she loved and loved being with. Her 'Celebration of Life' will be held at the Chapel of Praise, August 11 at 11:00, after will be a graveside services at Fortine A reception 'Party' with lots of food and memories will follow at the Chapel of Praise.
