STAR D (SCHRAM) PHILLIPS Obituary (1960

Star Phillips, age 54, died peacefully at home on March 12th, 2015, at 3:15 pm from lung cancer. She was born December 28, 1960 at Pratt, Kansas to Dale and Neva Schram. Star was survived by her father, Dale Schram, as with 13 brothers and sisters living in Nebraska. She was preceded in death by her mother, Neva Schram, and her niece, Marie Bristol. Star was owner of Loaves and Fishes Cafe, where she donated to local charities, and was committed to feeding anyone who walked through the door regardless of their ability to pay. Star also ran the annual toy giveaway, "Christmas is for Kids," where she provided toys for over 300 children each year for the past 12 years. Star was a prime example of "paying love forward" as she believed the Lord commissioned all believers to do. She will be sorely missed, and while she would expect us all to shed some tears, she would also expect us to praise the Lord for going ahead and preparing a place for her. She has said many times over the past few months to remind everyone that this may be a time for mourning our loss, but is also a time for celebrating her gain. For to be absent from the body is to be at home with the Lord. (2 Cor. 5:8) A place so many of us look forward to being someday. Services will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, on March 23rd at Libby Christian Church with a reception to follow. Arrangements are by Schnackenberg & Nelson Funeral Home in Libby.
