LOREN E OLBEKSON, JR Obituary (1934

Loren E. Olbekson, Jr., 80, died on Monday, September 8, 2014 at his home in Libby. He was born June 30, 1934 in Alexandria, Minnesota to Loren E. Olbekson, SR and Floretta E. Mohawk. He spent most of his growing years in Cass Lake, Minnesota with his parents and siblings. Loren moved to Libby at age 18 and went to work at the local lumber mill until he retired. He married Alice May Martin in August of 1954 and they moved into the home where he spent the rest of his entire life. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Alice May, brothers Vernon and Dick, and sister Patty. He was a wonderful father, son, brother, and granddad as well as a good friend. He was much loved and will be greatly missed. Survivors include his 2 daughters Lorene Smith (Brad) of Hermiston, OR; Lois Olbekson of Libby; adopted in love children Craig and Renee Fox of Libby; a brother Norman Olbekson (Ann) of Libby; sisters Carol Brothers of Libby and Barbara Moore (Larry) Gold Creek, MT; 4 grandchildren Jeremy Smith (Rebecca), Jonathan Smith (Erin), Amanda Goforth (Tanner) and Meagan Roloff (Mike); 8 great grandchildren Zachary, Jonah, Sylar, Vivian, Matthew, Bellissima, Tearan and Trace.
