ILLEANE F (TAYLOR) PETZ Obituary (1933

Ileane F. Petz, 81, passed away August 27, 2015 at North Valley Hospital in Whitefish after suffering from a long-term illness. She was born on November 21, 1933 to Clyde and Geneva Taylor in Yates Center, KS. After Illeane was born, they all moved to Ellinwood, KS, where her father worked as a truck driver for an oil company until his death from a stroke in December, 1967. Illeane went through school in Ellinwood, KS where she graduated with honors in the Class of 1951. She well excelled in her high school studies and finished two years early, but chose to wait and graduate with her class, so she worked in the school office until her graduation. She then met and married the love of her life, Keith Petz, on October 6, 1953 and they remained in Ellinwood for two more years, where Keith chose to follow his family heritage of farming. They then decided that they would like to leave the small town life and move to the City of Hutchinson, KS, where they had their only child, Cameron (Cammie) Diane, in January of 1956. Illeane became a bookkeeper at Banker's Investment and worked there for many years until the business closed and she then moved on to working with the Recreation Commission. After their daughter, Cammie, finished High School, she moved to Colorado Springs, CO to attend College. They decided to move there to be closer to their daughter and worked as self-employed. After living in Colorado for ten years, they moved to Montana in 2002 to again be closer to their daughter and son-in-law who were living in Stryker, MT. She lived a happy and full life doing things that she enjoyed the most, like art, shopping, reading books, cats, and spending precious time with her family. Illeane is preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Geneva Taylor and grandson, Jarrett Plunkett. She is survived by her husband Keith Petz, daughter and son-in-law Cammie and Larry Wilson and grandson, Damon Cooper. Viewing will be held from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm at Schnackenberg & Nelson Funeral Home in Eureka, MT (turn west at Glacier Bank, go 1 block to top of hill) and a graveside ceremony will be held at 2:00 pm at the Fortine Cemetery (turn first right north of Fortine turnoff) .
