ELIZABETH "LIZ' K (HINKEMEYER) RIGGLES Obituary (1929

Elizabeth K.(Liz) Riggles, 85, of Libby passed away on Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at Cabinet Peaks Medical Center. She was born on April 20, 1929 in Lyden Township, Minnesota to Stephen and Augusta (Gehrke) Hinkemeyer. She was the 7th of 16 children. She married Harold (Hody) Riggles on September 4, 1946 at Walker, Minnesota. They made their home town Cass Lake, Minnesota. Liz was a full-time mother to their 2 sons, Harold, Jr. and Dale. In 1964, Liz and Hody purchased and operated Harold's Country Club in Longville, Minnesota until they moved to Libby in 1971. Liz enjoyed quilting, camping, and fishing. Most of all she loved having her family gathered together. She was preceded in death by her husband Hody, and her son Harold, Jr. Survivors include her son Dale Riggles (Suzanne), Libby; grandsons Mike (Kate) and Brad (Kim), Kalispell, Montana; 5 great grandchildren, Taylor, Savannah, Aspen, Bridger and Hazey; and her 2 sisters Lorraine and Edna. Services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 17, 2014 at Schnackenberg & Nelson Funeral Home & Crematory in Libby. Interment will take place at Pine Grove Cemetery at Cass Lake.
